This is my sculpting work. Most of these are hired works, some are my own original designs.

This portfolio went a very long time without updating, but now I'm slowly adding the newer pieces.  If you haven't been here in awhile (or ever) take a look, and I hope you like what you see.

Quick FAQ

What's a "Prototype"?
That's what we call the master sculpture for making a toy or statue.  I sculpt one up, then it's sent to my client's factory to be used as a pattern for mass producing the actual product you buy in the store.

Who do you sculpt for?
All kinds of companies, big and small, in all kinds of categories-- toys makers, statue and giftware companies, model kit makers and others.

What do you sculpt with?
That depends on what I'm sculpting, and how big I'm making it. My favorite medium is a type of Sculpey-- NOT the standard Super-Sculpey, and I don't work with it the same way most people do. For certain work I'll instead use wax, 2-part epoxy putties, Castilene, or model with sheet plastic or tooling board. For me, the best material is whatever it takes to really nail the look of the design I'm going for.

Do you sell Prototypes?
NO!! Please DO NOT ask me to sell toy prototypes. I don't sell anything that doesn't have a "BUY NOW" link next to it.

Why don't you sell prototypes?
First off, my clients would probably be very unhappy if I sold copies of their master sculptures. Second, I like having samples of my work to show new clients, so whenever I'm fortunate enough to be have one, I keep it.

Where can I find a toy that you sculpted?
If you are looking for production toys that I sculpted, sorry but I don't stock any spares to sell, and I don't have any special avenues for finding them.  Like most of you, I have to go to eBay for out-of-print toys, even the ones I proptotyped!
