Kermit The Frog Bank (5)
About 8" tall. -
Tide Pool Diorama (8)
This was made for a certain lovely 3rd grade teacher's science class. There is a drop-off in the terrain to simulate the deeper ocean, which you can fill partway with water, then slosh over the pools to simulate tidal action. You can see here I built the base in a rubber bucket, with foam covered in Bondo, then detailed with Sculpey and epoxy critters and plants. Then the whole thing was painted and gloss-shellaced so as to appear wet, even when dry. -
Pokemon Playset / Jakks Pacific (4)
A playset for Pokemon action battles. I built the middle section, added features to the side sections, and did the paint-up. -
Hot Wheels Swamp Creature Playset / Mattel, Inc. (5)
A swamp monster that was part of a Hot Wheels race set. The head and arms would swing around and knock cars off the track. Melting and layering Castilene worked well for a slimy effect. -
Snoopy's Dog House (4)
Not sure what this was for, but it was to contain some kind of mechanism. -
Harry Potter Pumpkin Juicer / Mattel, Inc. (3)
The face was meant to look sort of beat-up, like it was made from being crushed by the thumbscrew. The actual ice shaver in the final product works great! -
Harry Potter Aragog Deluxe Figure / Mattel, Inc. (6)
I always wanted to do a big, articulated spider toy. This was it! As big as it was when spread out, it could still fold up into a deluxe figure blister! These toys became very hard to find, I had to get mine on eBay. -
Harry Potter Playset Aragog / Mattel, Inc. (3)
Another, slightly different Aragog, His legs would snap shut and trap a figure inside. Pincers not shown. -
Spinal Tap Guitars / Sideshow Collectibles (8)
Guitar props for the Spinal Tap 12" figures, the first action doll line Sideshow produced. -
Wild Thornberries Island Playset / Mattel, Inc. (11)
My first commissioned work for Mattel! This playset had lots of parts, accessories and animal figures to go with it. The egg rolls down the chute and breaks open in the nest below, with a little tortoise or bird inside. There are actually 2 versions shown here, the one at top was the final. -
WWF Backstage Brawl Playset / Jakks Pacific (4)
Doing this whole playset was almost like making a movie miniature... basically a room with a breakaway wall, stage exit, and lots of stuff to bash other wrestlers with. I had to rig the soda machine to actually drop a Coke can when you jiggled it. The balcony rail would fall away in sections too. This model was painted by Robert S Martin Jr. -
WWF Maximum Sweat Accessories / Jakks Pacific (12)
Lots of funked-up gear to bash brains with! Most everything has a weird bend to it. These items were painted by Robert S Martin Jr. -
Harry Potter Spoon / Mattel, Inc. (1)
Spooooon! I put this in here just so I could write that... sorry. This was for some kind of a food-making playset.
