StickHeads |
MrDandy
|
Character knobs for Atari 2600 joysticks! I have wanted to make these for a while... almost everyone my age has a set of these sticks lying in the garage or the bottom of a closet. Why not turn them into a work of art?
| Graphic-Violence Wall Plaques |
MrDandy
|
Sculpted wall plaques based on my original pixel designs, originally seen in my GV pendants!. Each has a suggestive texture that's symbolic for the character-- the Cowshot looks like deadwood, the Tankh looks like beat-up armor plating, and etc. They measure about 6"x6".
| Sikk at the Circus: The Ringmeister |
MrDandy
|
The perverted Ringmeister and his bitsy pal Meester! This piece was accepted into the 2004 Spectrum anthology!
| Sikk at the Circus: Snockers |
MrDandy
|
The soused circus clown in all his regalia. You don't usually see figures looking like they're about to fall over (at least on purpose).
|
Sikk at the Circus: Flingo |
MrDandy
|
A lot of people talk about monkeys flinging stuff... I think this is the first figurine to actually show it.
| Sikk at the Circus: Trini Trapeeze |
MrDandy
|
She was lots of fun to do. I tried to achieve a forced perspective of her over the audience, as though they're way down below her. Is she enjoying the show a little too much?
| Sikk at the Circus: Ellaphat |
MrDandy
|
All the wrinkles and flabby folds are lots of fun to sculpt. In this line, I tried to humanize the animals, and overly abstract the humans.
| The Goddess in Alloy |
MrDandy
|
The idea here was an eternal guardian, created by submerging a human woman with a holy mechanical vessel body... this would be a very sad and lonely life. A bit of a comment on the objectification but also empowerment of feminine beauty... possibly a self-indictment?? More study is required...^_^ Released as a cold-cast statue, and also a resin kit (which is still available). 1/4 scale. (c) 1998 |

| The Ballistic Rose |
MrDandy
|
My take on the ultimate gun-babe. She has interchangeable head and helmet, and lots of separate little costume and gun parts. There is actually quite a backstory world I have developed for her, lots of friends, enemies and history. A bit tongue-in-cheek as well. Someday I would like to show it to you. Approx. 1/6 scale (c) 1997 |

| Wicked Eye |
MrDandy
|
An evil lady warrior controlled by a demonic eyepiece. This was released by me as a VERY limited resin kit (20 made), but I was never quite satisfied with the costume and figure pose. This year I am trying to get the new version finished and released. 1/6 scale

M.A.C.H. Angel |
MrDandy / Streamline Modelworks
(commissioned) |
Ah, my first original resin kit design...which was purchased
and released by Streamline. A strange figure in many ways, but there are
still some things I like about her. I think the idea was kind of fun (basically
a retro-60's female android with missile pods hidden strategically in
her anatomy). I think I should have been less literal and more cheeky
with the sculpt. I have always wondered if they didn't borrow from my
idea when they made the "fembots" from Austin Powers... I wanted to call it Cluster Angel... But they changed it to an acronym, to stand for Metallic Airborne Cluster Heroine 10.5 " figure |

| G-Zero Promo Sculpture Plaque |

This is a blob of monstrous stuff which I would give out to prospective clients and friends. Also features an earlier prototype of Wicked Eye! Approx 3" in diameter.
